Sailor's Solar Term series is inspired by the Japanese tradition of celebrating the shift between the four seasons by eating or doing certain things. This red-pink fountain pen is inspired by octopuses (Tako, タコ), which are eaten on the day of the summer solstice, while praying for crops to grow in abundance, like the arms of an octopus.
The pen comes in a nice gift box, along with a suitable ink (Yodaki).

Sailor Professional Gear Slim is a true classic, known for its world-leading 14k gold pen nib. The Pro Gear Slim model - or Sapporo as it is also called - is Sailor's slightly smaller variant of their Professional Gear, but also perhaps their most popular and affordable fountain pen. Feel free to combine with any of Sailor's inks.
Sailor was founded as early as 1911, and has now come to define Japanese quality.
Comes with a converter. Note that Japanese fountain pens writes thinner lines than their European counterparts.
