Zebra is one of the world's leading pen companies, dating back to 1897 - although the company was not founded until 1914. The name Zebra comes from the fact that the founder Tokumatsu Ishikawa wanted to create an inclusive and intimate corporate culture, like the zebra shows in herds. Today, Zebra is primarily known for producing the immensely popular pen series Sarasa, Mildliner and Clickart.
