Kyoto Ink / Kyo-iro / Soft Snow of Ohara

This ink, produced by Japanese Takeda Jimuki - also known as TAG - is produced in Kyoto. The city has not only given the ink its name, but has also through its historic and beautiful sites inspired the color choices in the Kyo-iro series. Soft Snow of Ohara is, as the name implies, inspired by a winter landscape in the village of Ohara outside Kyoto. Water based.

The ink is produced in batches of fairly small quantities, which means that the color may vary slightly from bottle to bottle.
