A shitajiki is a typical Japanese product. Roughly translated, it means "under the sheet", and is just that: something to put under the paper to get some additional control and to avoid making marks in the paper underneath. This shitajiki from Kyoei is transparent and only 0.6 mm thin. The underlay is both flexible and stable.
This design is inspired by Scandinavian colors, patterns and textiles.
