A grid notebook featuring an atmospheric photograph of Denali, North America’s highest mountain, taken by Japanese photographer and adventurer Naoki Ishikawa. Captured from a small plane on its way to the mountain’s base camp, the image shows the 6,190-metre massif in deep shades of blue and white.
The photograph was produced using cyanotype, a photographic process that gives the image its characteristic blue colour. The visible brushstrokes left by the light-sensitive solution become part of the design, giving the cover a handcrafted, almost watercolour-like appearance.
The notebook contains 288 pages of thin and durable Tomoe River paper. The subtle 3.7 mm grid is suitable for everything from notes and planning to sketches and bullet journalling. The grid colour alternates between red, blue, green and purple every 72 pages, making it easy to divide the notebook into different subjects or projects.
The thread-sewn binding allows the notebook to lie completely flat when open. The A5 format matches the Hobonichi Techo Cousin, allowing the notebook to be used with Hobonichi A5 covers.
