Enpitsu is the Japanese word for a plain pencil. And of course that's no mistake - Kokuyo wants to combine the simplicity of a traditional pencil with the convenience of a mechanical pencil. An example of this is how the pen is hexagonal-shaped at the bottom, which then becomes rounded towards the top.
The tube enclosing the lead extends 4 mm outside the pen body, giving you a better overview of the writing surface. The tube can also be pushed into the pen body when not in use. The pen also has a generous clip so that you can easily have it in your breast pocket or on a notebook. The eraser - which can be refilled - is of a twist-up type.
